An Email to Make a Day

About a month ago, Chris applied to the Sheriff's Department.  For the last couple years he has said that he feels called to help people, although he couldn't really put his finger on exactly what that meant.  When he found out the SD was hiring, he prayed about it a while, and just felt a strong desire to apply.  Well a long time has gone by, but today he got an e-mail with a date to come in and start the testing process.  So April 18th he'll be doing a basic math and reading comprehension test, and if he passes that, he will be invited to stay for the agility testing, fingerprinting, and first contact interview.  To say he's excited would be an understatement.  So we'll see what God has in store for us in the next few weeks!  Prayers tossed our way welcomed :)

  1. That's cool!!! We will keep you guys in our prayers. The testing process will probably seem pretty lengthy (I remember all the hoops Jeremy had to jump through to get to his position.) I'm sure he'll do GREAT!

Oh, Jeremy says that if Chris knows where his agility test will take place that he should practice in advance. Apparently lots of people have trouble with the "window" part. *haha*

  2. We'll be praying, too - exciting times! :) Funny that Sarah mentioned "the window", I was going to, too! :) Oh - and if you want to learn something else from Jeremy, Chris might start building up a tolerance to mace - right Sarah? Ha ha! :)

  3. Yeah my brother (who is in the police academy, but all law enforcement train/test at the same place) said he can go practice anytime, just have to let the front desk know... Thanks for the heads up though :)
